It's an extension for SPADE that implements the Agents & Artifacts meta-model, allowing for the creation of artifact-based environments in multi-agent systems. SPADE-FIWARE-Artifacts heavily relies on SPADE Artifact to create the bridge between SPADE agents and FIWARE Context Brokers. How SPADE and SPADE Artifact are Used in This Project ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ In the SPADE-FIWARE-Artifacts project, we utilize SPADE's agent system and SPADE Artifact to create a bridge between multi-agent systems and FIWARE Context Brokers. Here's how it works: 1. **Publisher Artifact**: Based on SPADE Artifact, it simulates a data source (which could be an agent or any external system in a real-world scenario). It publishes data periodically. 2. **Inserter Artifact**: Also based on SPADE Artifact, it acts as a bridge between the SPADE environment and the FIWARE Context Broker. It receives data from the Publisher Artifact and inserts/updates it in the Context Broker. 3. **XMPP Communication**: SPADE's XMPP-based communication is used for message passing between artifacts, ensuring reliable and standardized data exchange. 4. **Behavior Implementation**: While not explicitly shown in the example, SPADE allows for the implementation of complex agent behaviors that can process, analyze, or react to the data before it's sent to FIWARE. These behaviors can interact with the artifacts created using SPADE Artifact.
